The new year has barely begun but it looks like a new romance is already bubbling! Did you know that Ishaan Khatter has a new muse? And guess what…it’s none other than *drum rolls* Ananya Panday. Yep…you read that right! While the duo may not have accepted that they’re a couple but Ishaan, in his own way, confirmed that he rang in 2021 with his Khaali Peeli co-star.
Just a day ago, the rumoured couple was spotted at Mumbai airport returning from their New Years vacay in the Maldives.
And now, Ishaan has taken to Instagram to let us all know that the duo was together in the island nation. And if that wasn’t enough, Ishaan called Ananya his ‘muse’! Aww…can these two get any cuter?
Ishaan shared a video montage on Instagram and thanked his Ananya in the caption while adding that this was his ‘first proper holiday’. “New year, new energy. Cut a montage from my first proper ‘holiday’. Shot, graded and edited on iPhone 12pro by me (with some help muse and additional videography: @ananyapanday),” read the actor’s caption.
If you haven’t already noticed it, Ananya also made an appearance in Ishaan’s New Year’s video montage. Now, we know that actions speak louder than words. Ishaan and Ananya may not have said it out aloud but their actions tell us a lot about their budding romance!

Earlier Ishaan had confirmed that the duo welcomed 2021 together by sharing a picture of Ananya sitting on a swing in the Maldives. In fact, several pictures of Ishaan and Ananya with the hotel staff showed up on social media confirming that the two were together in the same hotel. On the work front, Ishaan is currently shooting for Phone Bhoot alongside Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi. He also appeared on the BBC series A Suitable Boy. Ananya, on the other hand, is set to star in Shakun Batra’s untitled 2021 romantic drama starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will also be starring in yet another untitled Vijay Deverakonda – Puri Jagannadh project.
As much as we loved Ananya and Ishaan’s reel life chemistry in Khaali Peeli, we have to say that their real-life chemistry is incomparable. We can’t wait for some more juicy details about this secret budding romance, what about you?
