We love us some Ariana Grande makeup inspo. She stays true to her style aesthetic and forever inspires us with her chic tweaks in her makeup looks. As she rocks her signature voluminous retro ponytail, she sports a minimalist graphic eyeliner trend that is perfect for hooded eyes and small eye shapes. It creates the illusion of more lid space and looks absolutely fabulous no matter the occasion. We show you how to recreate her makeup look with a step-by-step decode.
Ariana opted for a matte base for this makeup look. Cleanse your skin with an oil-absorbing face wash, tone with a facial mist, and moisturise with gel-based cream. Prep skin with a primer and blend on matte finish foundation. Dab a concealer on discolouration and dark spots. Set your base with a loose setting powder.
Get those brows on point with a light brown eyebrow pencil and an eyebrow gel. Use the brow pencil to draw hair-like strokes and then brush it upwards with a spoolie. Swipe on the brow gel to set the strands in place.
Define the jawline and cheekbones by contouring with a powder matte bronzer. Add highlighter to the tip of your nose and cheekbones. Blend well to diminish harsh lines and excess product.
Time to get that eyeliner on. If you are confident enough to not use tape to draw straight lines, begin by extending a wing flick from the lash line that goes upwards. Next, connect the end of the wing horizontally to the area above your crease and stop when you reach the centre of it. Repeat on the other eye as well. Tightline the rest of your upper lash lines and inner corner with eyeliner and swipe on mascara.
Make your lips look fuller by outlining them with a lip liner. Use a red lip liner to outline your lips and then fill in colour with a dusty pink lipstick. Top it off with a gloss for a juicy high shine effect.
To cop her hairstyle, follow a simple haircare routine with a pre-shampoo hair mask, moisturising shampoo and conditioner, and then apply serum to damp lengths. Blow-dry smooth with a barrel brush and create a side parting. Tie your hair in a ponytail and use gel on the parting to tame flyaways and add a glossy effect.
Try this look and let us know how it turns out.
