We can’t keep calm ‘coz the Money Heist finale is almost here! In just a few hours we will be bidding farewell to our favourite gang of robbers. No wonder we have been playing Bella ciao on a loop since morning. Before we get to the end, let’s hit the rewind button and talk about what all happened in the last season of the show.
Money Heist Season 5 Volume 1 dropped three months ago and left us with many burning questions! Let’s talk about all the questions we have RN…
Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri Urrutikoetxea), a former Spanish police Inspector is a wanted woman just like the rest of the Money Heist gang, so she has nothing to lose. To clear her name, Alicia had captured Professor (Álvaro Morte) and planned to hand him over to the government. However, during the interrogation, she got into labour and asked the Professor to deliver the baby. Later, she freed him but we honestly don’t trust a thing when it comes to Alicia. Is she going to betray Professor to earn the trust of Colonel Tamayo (Fernando Cayo) once again? What will happen to the mastermind of the Money Heist?
No one, we repeat no one will be happier than us if Arturo Roman (Enrique Arce) dies in the finale! If there’s one thing that can unite Money Heist fans all over the world, it’s their shared hatred for the former Director of the Royal Mint of Spain. NGL, Arturito’s character arc is just a downward spiral. In Volume 1, he was shot dead by Stockholm (Esther Acebo). Later, he gets medical help and is in a critical condition. So, one of the biggest burning questions in Money Heist is: Is Arturo dead?
Right from season 1, Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) was the narrator of the show. Given that she met her fate in volume 1, we wonder who will be the new narrator? In the last season, Tokyo created a diversion so her teammates could escape the Bank of Spain’s former head of security Gandìa and the other assailants, but she couldn’t make it to the end. Now, who will take up the role of the narrator?
While it certainly seems logical that Tokyo must have died in the explosion, many fan theories suggest otherwise. NGL, we are kinda rooting for Tokyo to come back from the dead (if they have saved Arturo, they can surely save Tokyo).
The gang is trapped in the Bank of Spain and there is no escape plan! In the first volume of Money Heist Season 5, the Professor apologised to each team member individually as he has no idea how to help them. In season 6, the gang will face their biggest challenge yet. Will the Professor devise a plan for the crew to escape the Bank of Spain? Or will they meet an untimely fate?
The show is all set to drop at 3 pm on Netflix today and we can’t wait to binge-watch!
