Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao…alright, we will stop. But, we’re sure that you have guessed why we’re singing this iconic song. Yes, the second part of the last season of Money Heist is all set to release on December 3 and to say that we’re excited will be an understatement. We’re beyond thrilled and are finding this waiting period quite torturous. Our heads are full of questions ATM and we need answers STAT! Will the gang make it out of the heist alive? Will Rio be okay without Tokyo? What will The Professor do now? Aghh, patience is not our strongest suit and we just cannot help it.
While we will get our answers in less than a week, we wonder what we’ll do after that. Honestly, our life post-Money Heist is going to be pretty dull and we think that the entertainment industry should do something about it. We’d love a Bollywood version of the Spanish crime drama and guess what? We know who can play The Professor’s role perfectly. Take a look at this video:
Yes, we’re talking about Ayushmann Khurrana! The actor recently shared a video on his Instagram handle where he can be seen dressed up as Sergio Marquina to attend a red carpet event. We have to say that the similarity between them is uncanny! His beard, brooding look, nerdy glasses and that iconic black suit are reminding us of The Professor and the actor has done a fab job while impersonating him.
In the caption, he wrote, “Once a Money Heist fan, always a Money Heist fan✊🏻 Fir chaahe woh bathroom ho ya red carpet event!”
Also, Sergio and Ayushmann share a common skill as both of them can play the piano quite well! That’s another reason for us to believe that if Bollywood ever decides to remake Money Heist, the latter should defs play the leading role. His amazing performance in Andhadhun has proved that he can play complex characters with ease and we think that he’d do complete justice as The Professor as well.
While we eagerly wait for the final season of the show, we hope that Bollywood producers plan a desi Money Heist soon!
