#BeautyDiaries: This Hair-Mask Is What Keeps My Hair Healthy Even After Colouring EIGHT Times!

I love getting my hair dyed. Period. Over the last eight years, I have gotten my mane coloured EIGHT times! Yes, eight freaking times and all the eight times I ‘promised’ myself that this is going to be the last time as the entire process always leaves my hair feeling dry, brittle, lifeless and super thin. Which automatically brings us to the obvious question- Then why do I do it?

I have this ‘can’t stop, won’t stop’ attitude when it comes to colouring my hair and even after a traumatic experience with blue hair, I recently got it dyed again. Red highlights, golden balayage, golden ombré (yes, ombré and balayage are different things), blue streaks, I have definitely experimented with my hair more ways than once. Not just hair colour, I have a long list with haircuts I regret getting but let’s keep them for another day.

Now, coming back to the question, then why do I do it despite a long list of cons attached? I’ll tell you why. I take care of my hair, a lot. I know what works for my hair and I stick to those methods, which is …

– Oiling regularly.

– Taking biotin tablets.

– Regular hair trims, I get it trimmed every month or so.

– And I use this amazing hair mask that has literally solved all my hair woes.

And I’m going to be telling you all about it.

All you will need is

– An egg (just the white part or albumen)
– A lemon
– 2 tbsp of curd
— A leaf of Aloe Vera
– 2 Vitamin E tablets

Start by taking out the jelly part of the Aloe Vera leaf and grid it in the mixer until it’s liquid. Add the remaining ingredients and mix them well. Comb your hair to a middle parting and start applying the mixture on your scalp down to the hair ends. Make sure that the mask is applied properly on your entire scalp. Keep it for an hour and rinse it with a mild shampoo. I would suggest not to use a conditioner as curd is a natural conditioner for your hair. I’ll be honest, I do feel a remarkable difference after every use and I apply it twice every week, without fail.

Also, why are all these ingredients important for your hair? Let me quickly break it down for you.

An egg white contains almost 27% of biotin which is excellent for hair growth and makes your hair stronger. It’s the best thing you can do to your hair. Applying only albumen to your hair can promote longer, healthier hair. The lemon ensures that dandruff is kept at bay and also helps in treating an oily scalp and hair odour. Curd conditions your hair and makes it smooth from within. Aloe Vera is a godsend gift to your hair. It’s basically BFFs with both your hair and skin! Vitamin E capsules provide complete nourishment to your hair and scalp and is a good way to inject vitamins directly to your hair.

Thanks to all these amazing benefits, I regularly get my hair styled without a worry in the world.

Also, this mask is amazing for your skin too. Just apply it once a week, keep it for 20 mins and hello, beautiful!
