Priyanka Chopra & Her Mother Share A Genius Ritual In Common

Priyanka Chopra’s skin-savviness is thanks to the genius of mumma Chopra; the brains behind the numberless DIYs PC has shared with us over the years. Many of them, including the famous Ubtan-based mask, have gone above and beyond to heal my skin.

That’s why I’m constantly looking for PC-approved fixes for my concerns. Lo and behold — I recently stumbled upon just that. A hack that both Priyanka and her mother, Madhu Chopra, endorse! And it’s so simple to DIY at home. You’re going to want to check it out.

What’s This New Fix All About?

The Chopras massage their faces with Organic Coconut Oil for a couple of minutes. But they don’t stop at that. To truly redeem the benefits of this fix, both of them suggest soaking a towel in hot/lukewarm water and then they go over the face with it gently. This, for the two, is a non-negotiable step in their routines.

Does This Extra Step Even Help?

This step hydrates and exfoliates the skin all at the same time while removing your makeup. The steam from the towel enhances circulation in the face, relaxes the muscles, and gently opens the pores for a squeaky-clean cleansing.

The more relaxed the pores, the better the removal of dirt and bacteria and the better the absorption of products. The better the circulation, the more oxygen and nutrients supplied to the cells. And the muscle-relaxing powers, thanks to the heat, destress you in general!

The days-old build-up of cells and dirt on the skin, too, is sloughed off thanks to the scrubbing. This induces a glow on the face because of all the new, healthy cells revealed from underneath. Even dry, flaky patches are massaged right off the face — or softened at the very least.

Until we figure out the exact coconut oil PC and mama Chopra uses, you can use the Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil by Organic Harvest for the same. This one’s free of parabens, sulphates, and silicones and is 100% organic.

PSA: Coconut Oil is not ideal for all skin types. It’s non-comedogenic in nature. This suggests that it can clog your pores and trigger flare-ups. For oily, acne-prone skin, this one’s a hazard.

I’ve been using Coconut Oil for as long as I can remember; but never like this. Since I’m feeling major FOMO, I’m going right ahead and putting this fix to the test. Wish me luck!
