Janhvi & Athiya Cannot Go A Day Without This Baby Product

Janhvi and Athiya love skincare. That’s no secret. The two have previously mentioned how sensitive their skin is — which is why they’re careful with the kind of products they apply on their face. I know and relate because there’s so much that can set the skin off without any warning.

If there’s one thing they cannot do, it’s going to sleep with makeup on. But they don’t remove their makeup the conventional way. They do it with a product meant for babies, and it’s a hack that’s going to save my sensitive, irritated skin. Check it out.

Okay. What’s The ‘Baby’ Product?

Baby oil. The gentle, non-irritating oil you massage babies with. Athiya and Janhvi love ’em.

These oils are derived from mineral or vegetable-based oils. The former is an odorless, colourless derivative of petroleum. It can contain additional ingredients like Vitamin E and aloe. The latter is often a composition of jojoba, coconut, and olive oils.

Both variants are mild on the skin and safe to use. But some prefer the latter because it’s natural.

But Why Baby Oil?

This oil comes with all the benefits of a makeup-removing product; along with the advantage of being gentle and non-irritating on the skin. It breaks down foundation, lipstick, and other products easily without stripping your skin of oils.

This is ideal for the area around the eyes that’s more prone to irritation and sensitivity.

It also hydrates your skin. Since baby oil is occlusive, it seals in moisture and reduces transepidermal water loss. This makes your skin look and feel healthy and plump. For those of you with eczema and psoriasis, you might want to look into this product ASAP. Because it’ll cleanse your skin while relieving dryness, itchiness, and flakiness.

How Do You Use It?

This product works for both light and heavy makeup.

  • Soak a cotton ball in some of the oil and go over your lids, under your eyes, and lashes with it. Take another cotton ball and wipe off the excess oil.
  • Soak another cotton ball and go over the rest of your face and lips with it.
  • Finish off by cleansing your skin to get rid of the grease.

The Johnson’s Baby Oil is extremely mild on the skin. It even contains Vitamin E to moisturise your skin more and calm inflammation.

The St. Botanica Goji Berry Face Wash with Vitamin C will cleanse your face while brightening your skin thanks to the Goji Berries present in it. This fruit is 500 times richer in Vitamin C than oranges, imagine!

Tip: If you’re using a vegetable-based baby oil, you can skip the cotton and directly go in with the product.

That’s it. You’re done.

Thanks, Athiya and Janhvi. I know I’m jumping on the bandwagon ASAP.
