It’s DIY Time: 3 Easy Face Masks That’ll Soothe Your Skin All Summer Long

It’s a stressful time for all of us and I just wanna tell you to look after yourself and your loved ones in the best way that you can. Right now you should focus on drinking lots of water, eating nutritious food, and staying at home. Also, remember to take out some time to destress whatever that may be for you- scribbling in your journal, giving yourself a scalp massage, or whipping up a face mask at home. 

If DIYs are your thing, then we’ve got some concoctions that you should definitely try while social distancing. 

3 DIY Face Masks That’ll Soothe Your Skin All Summer Long

Aloe You!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp aloe vera gel
1 tsp rose water
1/2 cucumber

How To Make:

Step One: Puree half a cucumber in the blender and transfer it into a bowl.

Step Two: Pour in the teaspoon of rose water and mix well. Then add fresh aloe vera by taking out the pulp from the leaves and stir it in as well.

Step Three: On clean skin, apply the mask with small circular motions all over your face and neck and let it dry for fifteen minutes.

Step Four: Rinse it off with lukewarm water and finish the at-home treatment by splashing cool water on your face and patting it dry with a soft towel.

 

But First, Coffee

Ingredients:

2 tbsp ground coffee

2 tbsp cocoa powder 

2 tbsp yogurt

2 tbsp honey

How to make:

Step One: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and stir it all well. Make sure there are no lumps or pockets with dry coffee and cocoa powder.

Step Two: Apply it to your face and neck and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. 

Step Three: Wash it off with room temperature water and you’ll notice that your skin looks depuffed, moisturised, and glowing.

 

Honey You’re Bee-autiful

Ingredients:

4 tbsp gram flour (besan)

1 tbsp milk

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp water

How to make:

Step One: Mix the gram flour, water, milk, and honey into a smooth paste.

Step Two: Apply the mask in an even layer on your face and leave it on for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Besan has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which makes it a perfect remedy to treat skin problems in the summer.

Step Three: Wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
