Barbie is slated to release on the 21st of July and I’ve never been this excited for a movie. I am equally obsessed with Barbiecore aka the biggest fashion trend of 2023, courtesy of Margot Robbie’s stunning promotional wardrobe. But she’s not the only celeb who has embraced this cutesy trend. Several desi celebrities are experimenting with Barbiecore as well and I am all for it. Scroll down for some of our favourite looks:
Mrunal Thakur
After owning the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, Mrunal is back at it again with another stunning look. She recently posted pictures looking like a Barbie doll and we are awestruck. Mrunal wore a bubblegum pink gown from Genny featuring a thigh-high slit. A pair of diamond shoulder dusters by Golden Windon Jewellery completed her look and Mrunal’s high ponytail added to the Barbie element.
Anushka Dandekar
For a recent event, Anushka wore a gorgeous two-piece set by Papa Don’t Preach. Her turquoise top and skirt featured an adorable pink-hearts print and she finished off the look with an OTT belt. She added a beaded hairband and luscious curls to round off her look.
Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy’s recently served Barbiecore with a twist. The actress set the internet on fire with her picture in a gleaming red dress from Kate Spade. It featured a red bodice with a voluminous striped skirt. She added a pair of bubblegum pumps and a curly high ponytail to stay on the trend. The best bit? Her Barbie-inspired pose for the pic!
Kangana Ranaut
For the success party of her film Tiku Weds Sheru, Kangana wore a stellar outfit by Gauri & Nainika. The dress featured a strapless pink bodice with an orange voluminous skirt. She added a pair of nude pumps and a high ponytail to pull the whole Barbie look together.
Shanaya Kapoor
Shanaya Kapoor just took the Barbiecore trend up a notch. The actress stunned us in a body-hugging pink gown that accentuated her curves perfectly. The gorgeous dress featured a backless design with a long train. We love how she added a bun to complete the look. Her dainty earrings and pink embellished bag were like icing on the cake.
