Have you ever come across a love story so adorable that you ran out of awwws? I have, many times (lekin bas mujhe hi aisa ladka nahi milta!), but never have I exhausted my awwws so quickly as I did after I heard Masaan-fame actress Shweta Tripathi and rapper Chaitanya Sharma’s love story. They are the definition of mushy, a perfect example of old-school romance in the modern day.
They met on stage, then on a flight, fell in love eventually, dated for a long time and now five years later, they are all set to tie the knot in a stunning destination wedding in Goa on 29 June. Their wedding celebrations have begun with a simple mehendi ceremony for Shweta. The actress posted some super cute stories on her Instagram profile, where she looked like a ray of sunshine in a yellow kurta while getting her bridal henna applied. Check them out:
Her beaming smile is enough for anyone to realise that she’s not a regular bride-to-be. Shweta is quirky and sassy and even her mehendi design portrays that. She got an aeroplane and a roller coaster designed into her mehendi. The plane because that’s where she met Chaitanya and a roller coaster because that is apparently where Chaitanya first asked her out! Awwww!
She also got Chaitanya’s name written in her mehendi, along with a few other motifs. Millenial brides take note – minimal and quirky is the new way to go with your bridal mehendi.
