The news and details of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding has been doing the rounds for several months now. We gave you all the details about their wedding functions, venues, outfits and even the guest lists, but there was no confirmation from the couple or their families till now. But well, that is not the case anymore. So, get ready for Sonam di wedding because the news has now been confirmed by the families themselves.
In a joint statement issued by the Kapoors and Ahujas, the ecstatic families announced the wedding that will take place on May 8 in Mumbai. Here is what the statement said:
“The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
Well well, let the celebrations officially begin, eh?
News had already been abuzz about Sonam and Anand’s wedding celebrations that will be taking place over two days at various venues in Mumbai. On top of it, Anil’s house being beautifully decorated with fairy lights and lanterns was all the confirmation we needed. Celebrities ike Farah Khan, Masaba Gupta and Karan Johar have been constantly visiting the Kapoor mansion in Juhu. The sangeet preps have been underway, with Farah Khan choreographing the performances and Karan Johar hosting the event.
When Anil Kapoor was asked about the lighting outside his house and if it had anything to do with Sonam’s wedding, he said:
“Media has always been with me and my family when we began our careers. We will share everything at the right time. You all will know very soon. We won’t hide these details. You will know why there is lighting outside the house.”
Well, now we know and we really cannot keep calm. We are counting the moments before we see Bollywood’s favourite muse, our beoved Sonam all decked up as a bride in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit, tying the knot with the love of her life.
