Celebrities are done gatekeeping. Off-late, a lot of Bollywood A-listers have taken to social media to share their exact skincare routines, products, and everything else. And it’s safe to say that I’ve been keeping tabs on everything.
While a lot of the products our favourite celebrities swear by are still formulated by international beauty brands, I’ve noticed a slow influx of Indian labels. From Alia Bhatt to Shraddha Kapoor, here are a few homegrown beauty brands that are on celeb radars.
Alia Bhatt: d’you
In a YouTube video, Alia Bhatt showed her entire skincare routine with every product she uses daily. One of them, was the d’you, in my defence cream which has ceramides, that Raha’s mother believes is on par with international beauty brands.
Mira Rajput Kapoor: Forest Essentials, Kama Ayurveda
The social media star and mother-of-two has really made quite a name for herself in the beauty industry. On her Instagram, the 28-year-old talked about how she likes to use the Forest Essentials fruit scrub, even though she is not too keen on using coarse products on her skin.
Mira has also vouched for the Bringadi Intensive Hair Oil Treatment by Kama Ayurveda, which worked well when she was going through post-partum hair loss after the delivery of her second baby.
Vaani Kapoor: Ilana Beauty
Though the actress hasn’t spoken about it herself, Vaani’s makeup artist often posts the actress’ pictures with the exact products she uses to achieve the look. Ilana Dream Blush Cheek Lip Tint in the shade Peachy Peach is her go-to for those flushed cheeks with just the right amount of colour.
Shraddha Kapoor: MyGlamm
Shraddha vouches for MyGlamm and her Instagram is proof. Even when she’s not promoting the brand for work, she’s wearing lipstick, BB cream, or blush that blends well into her skin, while also keeping it healthy.
If these products are good enough for celebrities, I’m going to try them out too!
