The first experiences are always memorable, especially when you are a newlywed! And Bollywood actress Yami Gautam sure can understand this sentiment atm. The Vicky Donor star surprised us all by tying the knot with filmmaker Aditya Dhar in an intimate ceremony on June 4.
Since then we have spent a lot of our time scrolling through Yami’s Insta to look at her gorgeous wedding pictures. She just looked so pretty as a pahadi dulhan! We are now hoping to get some more adorable snaps from Yami and Aditya’s first Diwali celebration.
This would be their first Diwali as a married couple and Yami is beyond excited (same girl, same!). In a recent interview, she revealed her plans for the day. Yami said, “We are celebrating Diwali at our new home in Mumbai with both our parents coming over. They are very excited as this is our first Diwali after marriage. We’ll be decorating the house with diyas and doing a puja at home. I love this feeling of being at home with my loved ones. After all, home is where your heart belongs. It makes you feel safe and secure. Aditya’s parents are really nice, warm and very loving.”
The actress also shared that the two recently made their way to their ancestral temple to seek blessing. What a sanskari couple, right? Yami and Aditya’s love story is what dreams are made of! They met on the sets of Uri: The Surgical Strike and instantly became friends. During the films’ promotions, the two fell in love. In a previous interview, Yami talked about the moment when she realised that Aditya was the one for her. She shared, “You just know it. When you start understanding the person’s value system, and what family he belongs to. You don’t have to have similarities or share common things in your interests, but have similarities in your value system and in your ethics. And we share that a lot. I have a lot of respect for Aditya.”
They make one of the cutest B-town couples and we are surely excited to see their Diwali celebration pictures. Meanwhile, we’ll just keep refreshing our feeds, waiting for them to post!
