Beautiful relationships begin in the Bigg Boss house every year, but a few of them stay unaffected by the madness of the show. Something similar has happened with Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash’s story in the current season. Their whirlwind romance started on an epic note and within no time, we were rooting for #Tejran. But, over the last few weeks, their bond has been called ‘toxic’ several times and we kinda see why. The couple has thrown derogatory remarks and mean comments at each other ever so casually, that we wonder if the two are better off alone.
Obviously, the mess has affected their families as well and it seems that they have declared war on social media. It was just a few weeks ago when Karan’s sister, Meenu Kundrra, took to Twitter and accused Teja of mistreating her brother often. Recently, his brother-in-law, Gaurav Malhotra, made a distasteful comment about the actress as well that didn’t sit right with Teja’s brother, Pratik Wayangankar.
Gaurav said that Tejasswi (TP) is not the kind of girl that ‘families seek’ and wrote, “TP herself claimed that sometimes she forgets that the cameras are there so kabhi kabhi uska asli roop bahar aa jata hai (sometimes her mask slips and her real self shows). That helped me to WAIT to see what her real self is AFTER the show ends because the TP I see in the show is not what most families seek. KK may know reality.”
To this, the actress’s brother replied, “Asli roop.. Most families won’t seek? Wow.. Stop degrading her to this level for this competition. It’s ridiculous. Aise karke jeetna hai toh Jeet jao.. khush raho (if you want to win the game this way, then win and be happy). Please see what all Karan has said and TEJU HAS SUPPORTED HIM NOT MATTER WHAT. Good going and all the best.”
Not going to lie, but we do see Pratik’s point here as nothing really justifies Gaurav’s personal attack on the actress. She is playing her individual game and managing her relationship in the way she seems best. But, for someone to say that she’s not the kind of person a ‘family seeks’ reeks of sexism. After all, it takes two to play tango. Karan has, quite frequently, demeaned Tejasswi with his rude words and behaviour. He has been called out by his fans and other celebrities for his toxic tendencies of unapologetically belittling his girlfriend.
Honestly, we really want this never-ending blame game to stop. Karan and Tejasswi are in a relationship in the house and it’s them who need to work out their differences. It doesn’t really make sense for their families to speak ill about the couple on social media without hearing their side of the stories personally.
We hope that this cold war ends right here.
