5 Skincare ASMR Videos That Will Lull You To Sleep On Nights When It All Feels Too Much

5 Skincare ASMR Videos That Will Lull You To Sleep On Nights When It All Feels Too Much

I’m obsessed with skincare and I’m passionate about ASMR. Actually, it’s more like crawling under my blanket (yes, I’m aware it’s summer, but I’m cold all the time), and listening to a medley of soothing sounds, in conjunction with aesthetic set-ups, lull me right to sleep. Here’s where two of my loves marry one another, and the result is nothing short of magical. Just imagine this for a second—an assortment of skin-loving concoctions, rollers, and masks gliding onto your skin in a delectable series of taps, crunches, crackles, and clinks against the backdrop of a room embellished with fairy lights. Ah. Almost fell asleep just thinking about it.

Apart from these surface-level, aesthetically-pleasing elements, ASMR is almost therapeutic. Meditative. It calms my anxiety, and it has become an everyday ritual that I ought to tune into as part of a pleasant nighttime regimen. Even though there’s not a lot of evidence that supports ASMR’s link to one’s well-being, I can attest to the fact that the phenomenon does impact a whole community of people.

I’m not claiming that ASMR’s a science-backed phenomenon—or one that can solve your problems. Or even one that should dissuade you from seeking professional help. But it does create a safe space for a lot of us, and the virtuality of it all doesn’t disrupt the experience at all. It ties everyone closer together instead.

5 Skincare ASMR Videos I Snooze To & You Will Too

Spa & Manicure Time

If you haven’t been able to indulge in a day of self-care, this 50-minute video emulates a spa-like session in the way that it coddles your skin with varying treatments, and replicates every step of a manicure realistically. Jocie’s techniques exude a sense of warmth and comfort, and that’s why I’m drawn to her channel. And her set-ups aren’t elaborate. She shoots her videos in a dimly-lit room, and I quite like the simplicity of it all. She has time-stamped the entire video—you can walk through the entire experience within seconds, and skip to or repeat whichever parts you’d like to.

Euphoria’s Cassie Pampers You With Her 4 AM Manic Routine

Even though I haven’t watched Euphoria, I did read about Cassie’s extensive 4 AM skincare regimen on Instagram—obviously. And this ASMRtist has recreated just that—complete with the character’s mannerisms, glitter-studded eyes, a distinct sense of fashion, and Cassie-like nails, she slathers serums onto your face, conditions your lashes, and slides ice-rollers over your skin for close to 40 minutes. I’m telling you—these videos transport you to another world.

Massages and Face Rollers

I’ve been following Karuna Satori’s channel for more than a year now. Satori is one of the most popular ASMRtists in the community, and much of her content is centred around mental health. I remember a lot of her subscribers requesting her to feature rollers on the channel for a longer duration. This one has to be one of my favourites from her—coupled with a massage-roller and a face-roller creating a mixture of sleep-inducing sounds, this 19-minute video is set against a dark backdrop, and is centred around soft, soothing whispers that will not disrupt your sleep.

Healing Pamper Nights

There’s something about Latte’s channel that feels like a hug. The ASMRtist creates the most distinct scenarios and engages you in conversation from the get-go. She goes all-out with her set-ups to enhance your audio-visual experience, shoots from different angles, and invests hours into her craft to bring to you one video. This one’s pretty fitting for today’s round-up because it focuses on relaxing you before you sleep. Interspersed with soothing music here and there, it treats your skin to an extensive nighttime regimen including masks, lotions, oils, massages, and more.

Whispers & Relaxing Routines

Even if you’re not quite acquainted with the concept of ASMR, you might have stumbled upon one of Gibi’s videos at some point or the other. One of the biggest ASMRtists on the platform, Gibi’s channel has amassed more than 4 million subscribers over the years—and if that doesn’t testify to her expertise, I don’t know what will. This one’s another one of my favourites, and it’s because of the subtle patter of rain integrated into the background complemented by Gibi’s soft chit-chat as well as the layering of products onto the face for 30 whole minutes.

Of course, yes, there’s a world of bizarre ASMR content out there, but that’s true for everything, no? If you’re looking for more recommendations like this, here’s the place.
