Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding festivities have finally kicked off! Guests have started arriving at Suryagarh, Jaisalmer, paps are stationed outside the venue and a fleet of cars can often be spotted making trips to the airport. If you’re as obsessed with celeb shaadis as I am, then you’ve got to check out the schedule for the #SiaraWedding. Here goes:
6 February – Welcome Lunch & Sangeet
The celebrations kicked off with a welcome lunch at the picturesque courtyard of the palace. The elaborate menu consisted of Rajasthani dishes. The lunch will be followed by the sangeet ceremony at the Sunset Patio later at night. DJ Ganesh will be in charge of the music. He has previously played at Karan Johar’s 50th birthday bash and Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha’s wedding. Apparently, red and gold is the theme for the night.
7 February – Haldi & Mehendi
The haldi and mehendi ceremonies are scheduled for the morning of 7 Feb. Both functions will take place between the two havelis (Thar haveli and Jaisalmer haveli) at Suryagargh. I know that celeb mehendi artist, Veena Nagda has already reached the venue. From Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif, she’s a fave with Bollywood brides!
7 February – Wedding & Reception
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will tie the knot on the 7th evening in the presence of 100-150 guests. The event is set to take place at the Bawdi, fashioned after a traditional step-well. Both the bride and the groom will be dressed in Manish Malhotra creations and MUA Lekha Gupta along with hairstylist Amit Thakur will deck up Kiara.
The wedding will be followed by a grand reception at the Celebration Lawns. DJ Ganesh will set the mood for the night and the menu will be a lavish spread of world cuisine.
I do hope the couple is planning a wedding party later in Mumbai. Nothing like seeing all the Bollywood A-listers getting together and celebrating in style!
