Wedding szn is upon us and we are bombarded (to say the least) with wedding invites. And while you might be running short on calendar space this month, we can never let you run low on makeup inspo for Shaadi season! We make sure to scour the internet for the latest trends of the moment to bring you the freshest of the beauty newsletter. And that’s a job easily done when our favourite B-town divas serve us with drop-dead gorgeous looks for days. Today, our inspo queen is none other than Sara Ali Khan.
Sara is known to always kill it with her traditional looks, whether it’s your everyday Lukhnowi kurta or an OTT lehenga outfit. Yesterday, she took to her Instagram to share some stunning photoshoot pictures with her fan following. Needless to say, we were floored. When we tell you that we couldn’t stop staring at her makeup, believe us! With a score of 10 on 10, this makeup look rightly deserves to be pinned to our wedding makeup mood board.
If you’re as knocked over by this makeup look as we are, you would want to take a peek at our beauty notes. Listed below is an easy 4 step makeup routine that can help you achieve Sara’s makeup look effortlessly.
This makeup look features a porcelain-like makeup base. Start by priming your skin with a poreless finish primer. Then apply a natural finish foundation that is neither completely matte nor too dewy. Blend it well with the help of a beauty blender or a makeup brush. Conceal your problem areas with a true tone concealer and highlight your under eyes with a concealer shade not brighter than one shade of your skin tone. Set your under eyes with a banana powder for a smooth and creaseless finish.
The eyes are the heroes of this makeup look, and brows are a package deal. Start by brushing your eyebrows in an upward direction. Take an eyebrow pencil and fill in any gaps. You can also make your eyebrow look bolder by filling it in a bit extra. Lastly, take an eyebrow setting gel or soap and set your eyebrows in a brushed fashion.
Now comes the headline of this makeup look – the eyes. Start by building a medium nude base all over your eyelid. Then blend a medium brown shade on your outer crease and under your waterline. Next, take a black eyeshadow shade and blend it near your lash line and under your waterline. Lastly, take a deep red shimmer eyeshadow and apply it from your inner eye corner to your mid lid. Blend well to avoid harsh lines. Seal the deal by applying kajal on your waterline, a subtly winged liner, and your favourite volumizing mascara.
Take your favourite nude red or wine lipstick out for a spin for this one. Use a creamy texture to get the same effect as Sara’s makeup look.
Now get cracking with this easy peasy makeup tutorial and click bomb-ass wedding selfies like no other!
