The years 2020 and 2021 are going to be remembered for aeons to come as the era of celebrity-owned beauty (that made them billionaires). From Katrina Kaif in India to Rihanna in the far west, it’s almost like every celebrity under the sun wants to leave their mark in beauty. My mother likes to think that they took inspiration from Shehnaaz Hussain, the OG celeb to beauty guru transformation. I am not going to correct her, solely because I am beginning to see the point of this observation.
What We Love
While there are what seems to be a gazillion celebrity-owned beauty lines in the beauty industry, only a handful exist that live up to the expectations. One would like to get Jennifer Lopez skin with JLO Beauty, but not all that glitters is gold (no hate JLo, we love you). Here are those handful finds that lived up to their name and found a well-deserved position on our vanity:

Manish Malhotra is a household name with a couture reputation and his beauty line, Manish Malhotra Beauty lives up to all aspects of it. This beauty range offers mini eyeshadow kits, mascaras, lipsticks, and kajals with unbelievable formulas to die for. However, among all the top scorers, Manish Malhotra hits it out of the park with this lip gloss. If you’re looking to add an oomph factor to your makeup look, this lip gloss is the way to go.
A Homegrown Hit
While we love the blush and compact range from Katrina Kaif’s beauty brand, their recent launch of colour correcting primers was an instant hit. With a lightweight texture and buildable coverage, this range is a gorgeous combination of primers and colour correctors.
For Skin Like Miranda Kerr
A model-like skin? Sign me up! Miranda Kerr’s beauty brand Kora Organics is heavy on organic skincare and has a variety of amazing products. The Noni Glow Sleeping Mask is an absolute topper. Its ultra-hydrating formula nourishes the skin from within and is perfect for anybody with dull or dehydrated skin.
I Bet You’re Already Obsessed With This One
Was it just me or did nobody realize that this best-seller actually belongs to Drew Barrymore’s makeup line? Talk about your reputation exceeding your name. That’s a first, eh?
Perfume That Sold Out In Seconds
And that’s why we haven’t gotten a chance to try this one yet. But we’re keeping our eyes open for a restock soon (fingers crossed). By the reviews that have completely taken over the internet, we are bound to believe that this perfume is simply God in a bottle (i.e., Rihanna).

When Selena also launched her beauty line, NGL we were a bit sceptical. How many celeb beauty lines can you keep up with after all? But surprise, surprise! Rare Beauty has rarely missed an opportunity to please us since its launch, and among other products, we are in love with this cream blush – the packaging, the formula, the texture, everything!
The Notoriously Infamous Name
While Kylie chose to disappoint us many times since the beginning of her entrepreneurial venture, we do believe that she is picking up after herself after all. While there still remain many hard misses from Kylie Skin, this undereye cream was a people’s favourite.
