This Bride’s Red-On-Red Fairy Tale Outfit Is Reminding Us Of Priyanka Chopra’s Wedding Finery

From Deepika Padukone to Anushka Sharma, some of the biggest B-town stars have tied the knot in the past half a decade. And along with breathtaking visuals from their grand weddings, these actresses have given us some pretty iconic bridal looks that continue to inspire Indian fashion girls. Priyanka Chopra’s vermillion Sabyasachi lehenga is one from the list and since her 2018 wedding, we have spotted some pretty charming iterations of the colour-on-colour masterpiece. However, hardly any of these imitation pieces have managed to come close to PC’s outfit in terms of grandeur. Well, guess what? We might have just found another red-on-red lehenga that appears to be equally glorious. Artist Neha Varma got married to the love of her life, earlier this year, and it’s her fairytale lehenga that has our attention at the moment. Read on:

When artist Neha Varma was preparing for her wedding, she had a very clear outfit brief in mind–it had to be a little bit traditional and a lot more fairytale. She found the perfect match in a red-on-red design which was then brought to life by ace designer Seema Gujral. While the ensemble definitely reminds us of PC’s viral Sabyasachi creation, it comes with its own unique details.

The lehenga comprises a simple blouse with scallop detailing on the hem and neck and a minimal, see-through dupatta. It is the trailing skirt that brings a touch of grandiosity to the outfit. The skirt has been elaborately embellished with delicate 3-D flowers that bring a unique texture and finish to the separate. The effect is akin to a carefully curated rose bouquet, designed with only the most exquisite flowers in the garden.

Just like Priyanka, Neha too went for kundan jewellery in silver and choora. However, she ditched the layered look for a cleaner, more stately choker and matching chand balis.

Keeping it equally elaborate in the makeup department, Neha opted for tonnes of highlighter and glow-from-within skin work. The look was finished off with a cherry red lippie and exaggerated cat-eye. Here’s how you can recreate this look:

Oh, and before we sign off, it is important that you check out Neha’s glorious shows. The ivory Jhimmy Choo heels have been encrusted with pearls and can easily give Cinderella’s glass slippers a run for the money.

Now, that’s how you ace a fairytale look while still keeping it traditional!
