The 2023 Met Gala was one hell of an event and it will take us a while to get over it. While we are still swooning over the stunning red carpet ensembles and Alia Bhatt’s debut, we were all hoping for an Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra moment. However, fans were disappointed when no pictures of Alia and PC together were seen. But turns out, they did bond before the event!
While it was Alia’s first Met Gala, Priyanka is a veteran. Recently, Alia shared a behind-the-scenes video on her YouTube channel. Throughout the video, we can sense the actress’ nerves and she even admitted to having a wobble in her knee after getting out of the sprinter van. In the video, she also revealed that Priyanka reached out to her before the event, and Alia asked for her help to use the washroom.
She said, “The thing is again, I am so socially awkward and shy. It’s very strange how I am an actor and I’m like literally in the movie business that requires you to be, you know, centre stage, spotlight, being like whatever. Priyanka and I were talking about it yesterday. She’s like ‘You get in, and you find us.’ And, I am like ‘Okay, definitely because you’re gonna have to take me to the bathroom. I’m not gonna be able to go myself.”
Given the volume of Alia Bhatt’s fairytale-like gown by Prabal Gurung, it is understandable why she would have asked for Priyanka Chopra’s assistance to use the washroom. While we have no photographic evidence, we hope she actually ended up finding PC and Nick at the venue!
Priyanka Chopra & Alia Bhatt To Share Screen Space!
Although we couldn’t get a glimpse of the two divas together at the Met Gala, we will soon see them share screen space! Priyanka is all set to make her comeback in Bollywood after four long years with Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. The film will also star Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
PC last spoke about the film in November 2022 and said, “I am so excited about it. I am shooting a movie with my friends. When you make a movie with your friends, it’s not work, it’s just creative fun. Hopefully, we’ll shoot that next year.” The filming is scheduled to commence soon and we’re certain that this one is going to be a ZNMD level hit!
Well, now we feel that Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra were simply keeping their camaraderie a surprise for the audience, which will only be unveiled on the big screen!
