Ever since Priyanka Chopra penned down her memoir Unfinished she has been making interesting revelations about her personal and professional life. We all know about Priyanka’s whirlwind romance (and grand wedding) with Nick Jonas, but now the lovebirds revealed all about the moment they fell in love with each other. And even after over two years of marriage, PC just couldn’t stop blushing as she recalled this beautiful moment.
In a recent promotional event for her memoir Unfinished, Priyanka and Nick interacted with their fans and answered some of their questions. During the session, a fan happened to ask a question that hubby dearest, Nick, was ‘dying to know’ the answer to. When asked when they fell in love with each other, Nick pointed out that they’d only met a few times before realising that they had feelings for each other. And we all know what happened after!
Speaking about it, the Bollywood-turned-Hollywood queen said, “You remember when I came to the studio, after the Dodgers game?” To which Nick responded with a nod.
“So we meet once, don’t see each other for a year, hang out again briefly, then it’s another year before we say ‘let’s give this a shot’,” recalled PeeCee.
Nick took the moment to add context to the story and said, “We go to the Hollywood Bowl, it’s an amazing, magical night; go to the Dodgers game the next day, which was a confirmation that this wasn’t a fluke, and that we really liked each other. Within 48 hours of that, we were saying ‘I Love You’ to each other.”
Opening up about her studio visit, Priyanka said, “So I came to the studio with a friend of mine, and I was really shaken up by your whole energy. One thing to know about my husband is that when he wants something, nothing can come in the way of that. He’ll just make the whole world believe in what he believes in. And that’s what was happening with me; I was going along with this energy. The moment when I felt that my knees buckled was when you were conducting this choir of these amazing gospel singers.”
Hold up, that’s not all. Nick too recalled the moment when he fell heads over heels for the global icon. The American pop singer shared that for him, that moment was when he felt a ‘sense of peace’ when Priyanka walked towards him in a hotel (Chateau Marmont). He said that’s when he realised that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
In an old interview with a leading international magazine, Nick had said, “She (Priyanka Chopra) walks into the Chateau, and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.”
It was a day after this meeting when, Nick and Priyanka were spotted together at a Dodgers game which was termed as date number three by the actress. But it was the morning after this date, when Nick called up his mother and told her that he was going to marry Priyanka. And we all know that the rest is history!
For the uninitiated, PC and Nick tied the knot in December 2018 at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace. The lovebirds had both Hindu and Christian ceremonies. And ever since then #Nickyanka have been giving us major #CoupleGoals with their loved-up pictures on social media. Till date, the actress and her ‘babu’ continue us to give us reasons to gush over them with their social media PDA!
Well, we have to say that Priyanka and Nick’s dreamy (and filmy) love story gives all of us hope and we’re totally in love with them! But we can’t wait to hear more stories about their romance!
