Priyanka Chopra can easily be considered as one of the biggest stars of Bollywood. She has stunned her fans with commendable performances in movies like Mary Kom, Barfi, Bajirao Mastani and more. PC shifted to Hollywood a few years ago and marked her presence globally. The Desi Girl has made every single one of us proud and how! And now, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas is soon going to release her much-anticipated memoir, Unfinished.
Priyanka released a series of video snippets on her Instagram account, giving her fans a glimpse of her upcoming memoir. The snippets had captured the moments of her childhood, her crowning during Miss World 1994, her bond with her parents, her acting career, and her relationship with her husband, Nick Jonas. Priyanka revealed the cover of her memoir and the inspiration behind the title soon after.
“Ironically, I named this memoir years before I started writing it. Having been a public person now for 20 years, with so much life to live and a long list of things to check off my list personally and professionally, I am very much #Unfinished. BUT the funny thing about writing a memoir is that it forces you to look at things differently, reconciling so many things you thought you had put to bed. In doing so I’ve realized that being “unfinished” has deeper meaning for me, and has in fact been one of the most common threads of my life…” she wrote. The book, available for pre-orders in the U.S., became a bestseller in just 24 hours!
With so much excitement surrounding her new book, Priyanka in an interview revealed what her fans can expect from her upcoming memoir. “The book will give you an insight into my journey, in my words… it’s sort of the ‘in-between interviews’ versions of my life, the public version versus my real story.”
She added, “Unfinished will show you the human side of me. My family, friends and team are the key people who have been a part of this journey with me.”
Unfinished is about Priyanka’s grand journey through life – her struggles, dreams, aspirations, and a lot more. “I’m a small-town girl who had dreams and aspirations bigger than I was supposed to have. So, with my story, I hope the reader understands the resilience and grace under fire that is needed to chase their dreams.”
The Exotic singer is not someone who can ever halt or stop. Even the quarantine life, that slowed down the entire world, urged PC to get more productive. Currently, the Quantico actress is all set to appear in Arvind Adiga’s The White Tiger and in Matrix 4 (can’t keep calm ‘cuz PC & Keanu Reaves!!). She is also involved in different assignments with Amazon – Sangeet, based on… well Indian ‘Sangeet’ ceremony, a Russo brothers’ thriller, Citadel, and Sheela, a biopic on Maa Anand Sheela (controversial supporter of Osho). She also produced a horror-thriller, called Evil Eye, that can give you major chills. All these projects sound extremely bold and daring and we cannot accept anything less from our Don lady.
