I am an ardent lover of good cinema and keep myself updated with all the films which have received critical acclaim. However, after a long day at work, fulfilling my boss’ demands and just general adulting most of the time I don’t want to watch something that makes me think too much. I just want to switch off, go into the land of rom-coms and fantasies and live there.

1. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Based on a book by the same name, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before tells the story of Lara Jean who writes letters to all the boys she’s ever had a crush on. Keeping them safely as her prized positions, one day they mysteriously get sent to all the boys they’ve been addressed to. Things get complicated when one of the recipients of the letters is her ex-best friend’s ex-boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky.
2. The Kissing Booth
This film follows two teenagers in Los Angeles, Elle and Lee who have been best friends since the time they were born. They’ve got a set of rules which keep their friendship strong and stable, one of which is that relatives are off of the dating list. However, this gets put in jeopardy when Elle starts a hidden romance with Lee’s older, hunky brother Noah.
3. Her
A romantic science-fiction drama film, Her is about Theodore Twombly who develops a relationship with Samantha an artificially intelligent virtual assistant which a female voice. He’s a lonely, introvert who comes into his own after an unconventional romance.
4. Made Of Honor

Tom Bailey is a playboy who has never developed real feelings for anyone in his life untli he realizes that he’s head over heels in love with his best friend Hannah who is getting married soon. Set in the picturesque locales of Ireland, Tom’s got to compete with Coli for Hannah’s affections.
5. How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days
A successful magazine editor gets the task of writing an article on how to scare off a guy when she meets an advertising executive who swears he can win the heart of any woman. As he struggles with making her fall in love with him and she tries to jerk him off, reluctant romance brews between them.
6. Mamma Mia!
If musicals are your thing, it doesn’t get better than Mamma Mia! A dramatic, romantic, comedy film that revolves around a bride-to-be Sophie as she invites three potential men to her wedding, one of whom could potentially be her father. Although it doesn’t go exactly as planned, a friendship develops in the most endearing way. Have a sister or best friends night as you sing along to the ABBA classics in the film.
7. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

A lovelorn man finds out that his girlfriend underwent a procedure to erase all memory of him, heartbroken he goes on a quest to have the same procedure done to him. As the memories start to fade he understands more about their relationship and fights the procedure because he realizes that he’s made a mistake.
8. Set It Up
Two assistants are exhausted with their workaholic bosses and decide to set them up in a meet-cute in hopes of getting some time off from the office and having a personal life. Love takes over and the bosses, as well as the assistants, start acting cutesy.
9. The Princess Diaries
While I’m pretty sure you’ve seen The Princess Diaries, reruns of these classics are always welcome. We’ve all been through that awkward teenage phase with braces and frizzy hair so this one hits straight home. While Mia does get a royal makeover she struggles but learns how to stay true to herself. If you love it too much you can watch the second part too!
10. Confessions Of A Shopaholic

All of us love to shop but most of us aren’t as obsessed with it as Rebecca Bloomwood who is under a whole lot of debt because she’s maxed out her credit cards. She meets Luke Brandon, an editor of a financial magazine and starts working with him. Obviously, the two hit it off but hurdles are on their way.
11. Crazy, Stupid Love
A star cast like no other, it follows the life of a middle-aged man, Cal who is told by his wife that she’s been cheating on him. To get back into the groove of dating he starts learning how to pick up women at bars. With a comical turn of events, everyone’s lives get intermingled and ultimately it’s all about the crazy kinda love.
