All The Outfit Deets From The #Virushka Wedding (Drool-Worthy Pictures Inside!)

If real life was a movie, this is how the disclaimer would read:

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

We’re crying already, you guys!

It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Virat and Anushka got married and they’ve broken the Internet from India to Italy. We know, we know, you can’t get enough of their wedding pictures. So here we are with some more… and also Anushka and Virat’s fashion looks from their wedding ceremonies decoded!

The Wedding

32 Days: A Lehenga To Die For!

‘A pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads’. Doesn’t it look as fancy as it sounds? Crafted by master couturier, Sabyasachi, this lehenga gives all the Italian feels in a traditional Indian style. Hand-embroidered with tropical flora and fauna motifs, the lehenga took 67 karigars, 32 days to complete. Intricately embroidered with butterflies and bird patterns, the bespoke piece was designed to match the beautiful Tuscan surroundings.

What Make-up?

However hard it is to get your eyes off of Anushka’s lehenga, you cannot ignore the fact that the newlywed opted for a minimal make-up look. A small everyday bindi, nude lips, and a natural eye look is all it took for that bridal glow we all crave for! Hour-long parlour appointments? Who needs that!

Jewellery Goals!

A dreamy combination of pale pink, ivory and gold, this choker necklace is every bit as gorgeous as Anushka. She wore a matching mathapati, a dainty nath and a long neckpiece enhanced with pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls to go with it. Don’t even get us started on her jhumkas (scroll down for some eye-candy.) Imagine yourself walking to the jaimala ceremony with your man looking at you like Virat looks at Anushka…

That’s right, gives us chills too. Save it for your Big Day, already!

Flowers For The Win!

Locally sourced lush Tuscan hydrangeas, the colour of her lehenga and jewellery, this is just the cherry on the cake. Not only they make you look pretty, they give you a pleasant fragrance, and your hair that extra look without weighing you down. Anushka Sharma (Kohli?), you’re such a doll!

Captain Cutie-Pie!

‘Ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern and signature House buttons with an old Rose silk Kota safa’. That, and the raw magnetism with a hint of blush is what we want our man to look like on our wedding day, don’t we? Dear future husband, hope you’re reading this!

The Engagement

While Virat wore a blue three-piece (yes, waistcoats are back) with a white flower on the lapel, Anushka had her glam on with a velvet saree, choker necklace and stud earrings.

Dear bride-to-be, lock out on an uncut diamond set right away for your wedding. Micro-dot bindi, rose in the bun and kohl-lined eyes, we don’t think this is going to get old anytime soon.

The Mehendi

Anushka’s boho look from her mehendi is just so US! Along with a 60’s pop-themed blouse, Sabyasachi made her a graphic lehenga skirt in fuchsia pink (her favourite) and Indian orange, hand-printed by Calcutta block-printers. Again, uncut diamond 22k jhumkas with a no make-up look.

Heartiest congratulations to the couple (and Happy Honeymooning). Can’t wait to drool over the holiday pictures soon.
