#Aww: They Knew On The *First* Date They’d Always Be Together!

A common friend introduced them and 2 weeks later they were a couple!

Saakshi Gulati and Mit Vithalani both studied at Russell Square International College, Mumbai, and that’s where they met. “He was in his final year while I was in my first. During one of our college trips (which I couldn’t attend), my friend Priyanka and Mit happened to bond pretty well and she introduced me to him the moment they were back. And we two hit it off almost immediately!” After their first meeting when Priyanka asked Saakshi about what she thought of him, all she could say was, “He’s cute. I can feel the connection with him!”

Two weeks later, Mit asked Saakshi out on a date and since then it has been a beautiful 6 years of togetherness. Check out the pictures of their stunning engagement and mehendi ceremony.

The Engagement

The couple exchanged the rings on the 9th of May, 2016 and we can’t decide weather we love the decor more or the bride’s gorgeous outfit or is it the charming chemistry between these two.

The enchanted forest theme was beautifully executed by Gurleen M Puri. “I cannot thank them enough for agreeing to do this at the last minute. It is definitely the most fantastic job I’ve ever seen anyone do,” shares Saakshi.

We love the bride’s stunning Sabyasachi lehenga and those gorgeous jewels by Preeti Shah and Jaipur Gems! Her makeup was done by Subhash Singh. Oh, and are we drooling over the groom’s Troy Costa bandhgala!

The entire event was planned and executed by Reet Entertainment and Mosaic Events.

“It was extremely special to see all my friends and family come together to celebrate this day with me. It was also heartening to see my family – my mom, dad, brother and one of my sisters get so emotional,” shares Saakshi

The one moment the couple absolutely loves is the after party! DJ Taher churned out some awesome retro Bollywood 90s music and the party went on till about 6 in the morning.

The Mehendi

Saakshi looks absolutely stunning in a Ridhi Mehra creation.

The gorgeous pictures were shot by Monisha Ajgaonkar of The Photo Diary. “Monisha, who is known for her style in candid photography, did a spectacular job with the photographs. She was there for me in every way and made me so comfortable for the photographs. She is absolutely brilliant in her job and I can not thank her enough,” shares the lovely bride-to-be.
