Salman Khan Doesn’t Want National Awards & It’s Quite Evident With His Choice In Movies

“Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, uske baad tho main khud ki bhi nahin sunta.”

And Salman Khan’s commitment just happens to be with bad movies.

In a recent interview with a newspaper, actor Salman Khan spoke about winning the National Award while promoting his new movie, Bharat opposite Katrina Kaif. “I don’t want a National Award or any other award. I just want rewards. I get my National Award when people go to the theatres to watch my films. There’s a no bigger reward than the entire nation watching my film,” he said.

Bhai already has two National awards in his bag for producing Chillar Party and Bajrangi Bhaijan, but his track record as an actor hasn’t been as lucrative when it comes to trophies on the shelf. Can you imagine why? Well, we have a few reasons and you’ll agree with us. Read on.

1. Race 3

From flying superhero Salman Khan to big brother Salman Khan, we saw it all in this absolutely horrifying film. The only saving grace of this movie was Daisy Shah’s iconic dialogue, ‘My business is my business, none of your business,’ which was not intended to be funny but became a butt of all memes.

2. Kick

Salman Khan as a superhero would have shocked Sheldon Cooper. Not only did he become BFFs with a cop, but he managed to have a thriving love life while doing so. Anything is possible in Bollywood!

3. Veer

It was a period war drama, and while one expected Troy, all we got was a bad try. Better luck next time, Bhai?

4. Jai Ho

This movie marked the debut of Daisy Shah and we honestly wish it’d never happened like this. Not only did this movie have a ton of misplaced nationalism, it just felt like a terrible take on Watchmen

5. Tubelight

This movie may have been the lowest point of Suhail Khan’s career. Salman Khan’s acting in the movie was like kala khatta flavoured ice cream; no one asked for it.

Do we need any more reasons?
