Malaika’s DIY Body Scrub is Super Easy To Make & Will Leave Your Skin Feeling Super Soft!

Almost everyone is on a DIY spree these days and we love it- from orange peel face packs to curd and egg hair masks, people are using everyday kitchen ingredients to improve their skin. This obviously works well when we’re spending all our time at home and can’t (or shouldn’t) go to the salon for a cleanup. One Bollywood star who has always advocated at-home beauty is Malaika Arora. She’s been talking about a new kitchen ingredient every other day on Instagram and she’s now shared a body scrub recipe that you’ve got to try.

The Welcome actor took to Instagram and said, “I was introduced to some cool, exotic scrubs, but given the conditions right now, I’ve totally run out of body scrubs. So I decided, why not make my own at home?”

So, all aboard the DIY train.

How To Make Malaika Arora’s DIY Body Scrub:

Ingredients:

Coffee Powder

Brown Sugar/ Granulated White Sugar

Almond Oil/ Coconut Oil

Step by step guide:

Step 1: Add in the coffee powder to a bowl and put in brown sugar or granulated white sugar.

Step 2: Add the almond or coconut oil till it forms a paste. Mix the three ingredients well.

Step 3: Rub gently all over your body in circular motions to remove dead skin cells.

Benefits Of Coffee For Your Skin:

  1. Coffee is packed with antioxidants that are super helpful at keeping your skin radiant and youthful. When coffee is used as a face scrub, it unclogs pores and softens fine lines. It also acts as a barrier to keep bacteria and fungi at bay.
  2. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that help improve the appearance of puffy under-eyes, reduces wrinkles, and brightens dark circles. Make a paste of coffee powder, dark chocolate flakes, and water, and apply it directly on your skin.
  3. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties prevent bacteria from damaging skin cells. While coffee does a fab job of brightening tanned skin, it also tightens up your pores.
  4. A coffee scrub not only removes dead skin cells but also helps to nourish and moisturize your feet.
