Kriti Sanon Has Serious Skincare Advice For Teenagers

Kriti Sanon doesn’t do Q&As on Instagram all the time, but when she does, it’s good. I knew she’d talk about skincare at some point. The endless clickity-clack of my nails on her stories finally came to fruition toward the end of the session.

Teens, this one’s for you. Because Kriti just revealed three beginner-friendly skin care tips for all of you to take cues from ASAP. In case you missed it, I’ve written them all down for you. Read on!

You Need SPF — Regardless Of Your Age

Beginning with SPF ASAP was Sanon’s first touch-point. There’s no right age to start sun-protecting your skin. Kriti believes that you must use SPF regardless of your age and whether you’re exposing yourself to the sun or not.

Note: The blue light emitted from your phones and laptops can damage your skin too. It can lead to pigmentation and ageing, amongst other side effects. That’s why sun-protecting your skin indoors is essential.

You can pick a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Pilgrim’s White Lotus Sunscreen Serum SPF 30 PA+++ that’ll protect you indoors as well as outdoors.

Moisturising & Hydrating Is Unskippable

Hydrating and moisturising your skin is non-negotiable. Kriti swears by it, and it’s evidently paying off.

Note: Kriti uses a product that moisturises and sun-proofs her skin simultaneously. This is especially beneficial for those who don’t have more than 5 minutes to do their routine. She uses a (tinted) sunscreen before stepping out.

First, layer the Goji Berry Day Cream with Vitamin C, For Glowing Skin, SPF 15. The Pink Foundry Matte Moisturising Mineral Tinted Sunscreen can come next.

Overdoing It With Skincare Is A No-No

Many of us are blinded by the variety of products in skincare, but Sanon suggests keeping our routines simple. She doesn’t believe in experimenting too much.

Note: Overindulging in skincare can damage your skin in the long run. Over-exfoliation, for instance, can lead to inflammation and sensitivity. Too many actives, similarly, can cause flare-ups. A four or five-step routine is all you need.

That’s how simple and significant these beauty tips are. Thanks, Kriti!
