Ahead Of Koffee With Karan 7 Premiere, KJo Has The Perfect Answer For Trolls

It’s the D-day. We are counting every minute before Koffee With Karan Season 7 finally goes live on Disney+ hotstar. We are literally relying on Karan Johar’s chat show to serve as the perfect antidote to the current atmosphere of boring TV and sub-par entertainment. And we are pretty sure that Koffee With Karan 7 will live up to our expectations. It is blasphemy to expect anything less than epic entertainment from a show that premieres with an Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh episode anyway.

Oh, and we know someone who is as excited as us about the show going live (if not more). We are, of course, talking about KJo who is currently busy gracing our feed with one fascinating promo after another. We have had teasers of Alia and Ranveer in the first episode. He has shown us a glimpse of some of the Koffee With Karan Season 7 guests. And amid it all, Karan has also posted a promo about how the show will go on despite all the negativity from online trolls. “You can love me, you can hate me. But you can never have enough of Koffee With Karan,” he says in the promo while making a solid point. In a recent interview, Karan again talked about all this social media hatred and why it does not bother him anymore.

KWK Season 7: Karan Johar On Trolls

In an interview with a digital media platform, Karan talked about how all of this hatred is not “real”. “There was a lot of social media hate generally towards Bollywood at one point and ‘Koffee with Karan’ popped up as one of the targets… But I knew even then that this is all virtual, it’s not real. It’s not really the truth because had it been why would Disney+ hotstar want to do the show? Why would actors want to come on the show? Why would I be still interested in doing it? I think we were all aligned. And that’s why we realised that all that negative banter was just that — it was a mirage. It didn’t really exist. None at all,” he said.

While speaking about hatred against Bollywood, he further added, “How can you suddenly start hating Bollywood, something you have loved for over 100 years?” He was quick to add that this negativity does not impact him, in fact, reflects more on the trolls’ own anger and frustration.

Well, that’s a really cool way of looking at it. Because kuch toh log khanege and Karan would not have reached where he is rtoday had he ever paid heed to all this negativity. To paraphrase Karan— screw it, he’ll brew it!
