Festive Dressing Woes? Kangana Ranaut’s OTT Designer Outfit Is Right In Time To The Rescue

Even if the sarees, lehengas and the numerous innovative and contemporary apparel options for wedding and festive dressing don’t seem to fit in for your idea of an OOTD this season, there’s something else that just might. How about opting for a simple silhouette but going all out on the craft in it? From embroidery and prints to surface work that entices, this is the right time to make craft the hero of your look. Still wondering how? Kangana Ranaut’s recent outfit for a pre-wedding ceremony highlighted just this and TBH, it’s not a bad idea!

Going The Traditional Route: Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut’s Designer Indian Wear Pick

For her brother’s haldi ceremony, the actress went the traditional route, opting for an embroidered outfit by designer duo Rimple & Harpreet Narula. The kurta and the straight trousers both came in a matching deep maroon colour, the former featuring floral embroidery and extensive handiwork around the neck and the cuffs. Complementing it fully were the trousers, incorporating kaleidoscopic details and an elaborate level of craftsmanship.

Kangana Ranaut completed her outfit with a solid dupatta comprising gold details at the border, giving in to a balanced look for her otherwise OTT outfit. Ideal for the ongoing festivities as well as intimate wedding setups, the traditional Indian wear is a fail-safe pick for the at-home get-togethers this season. Experiment with your separates, mixing and matching in the same colour to get an impeccable outfit ready for the occasion on the cards. Below, a video of the actress at the ceremony before browsing through similar-looking alternatives that you might want to take into account.

Seeing that her outfit inclined towards the maximalist side of things, the actress kept her jewellery choices down to a pair of bronze-hued jhumkas, a foolproof accessory to pair with ceremonial wear.  With roses tucked as an accessory in her hair, she rounded off her look with gold juttis. On the makeup front, the 33-year-old chose kohl-rimmed eyes and a subtle lip colour to complete her look, one that be easily tried out at home with the right essentials in your beauty bag.

No excuse to not spruce up for the festive season!
