#OneForTheGram: 11 Instagram-Worthy Cafes In Delhi For A Date Night!

Perfect ambience, good food, positive vibes and a man you can have a conversation with- what else do you need for a good date? For me, the restaurant or cafe is more important than what I wear! In an era when most of us have our lives displayed out there on social media, an Instagram-worthy cafe is a pre-requisite for a date or even a night out with friends. I’ve lived in Delhi for 7 years now and I can proudly say that I’ve explored every nook and corner of the city. So, for your weekend plans, I’ve shortlisted 11 restaurants that you can pick from.

Ladera: Designed In Greek Themes

This one will take you straight to Greece on an extremely (comparatively) low budget. In-keeping with the Greek theme, the interiors of the restaurant are all indigo and white. I visited this place in the month of November, which also happens to be the best time to sit outdoors in Delhi. The moment I stepped into Ladera, I felt like I’ve been transported to Europe. And let me tell you, there isn’t just one particular part of this restaurant that is Instagram-worthy. You could click a picture anywhere and it’ll be one for the gram!

Address: Clarens Hotel, Plot 363, Sector 29, Gurgaon

Cost for two: Rs 4,000

Must try: Fettuccine alfredo pasta and seafood

Olive Bar & Kitchen

Having won multiple food and nightlife awards, Olive Bar & Kitchen is an all-time favourite amongst Delhi-ites. A colonial building and a white pebbled courtyard, this one’s as charming in the day as it is in the night. They’ve used wine bottles as candle stands and bougainvillaeas add to the vibe. If a romantic date is on your mind, just take my advice and pick Olive.

Address: 6-8, Kalka Das Marg, Mehrauli, New Delhi

Website: Olive Bar & Kitchen

Cost for two: Rs 4,000

Must try: Valrhona Chocolate

Rustique

What made me fall in love with this cafe was its European feel. The Rustique cafe has an extremely cute little bakery inside in case you wanna grab a cheesecake! And the best part? From the interiors to the food, it’s all Instagram-worthy. The lush green and wooden interiors are perfect for the day and the pretty fairy lights will light up your late-night date!

Also, Rustique has full-length wallpapers with European landscapes. Who wouldn’t want a picture with that?!

Established in 1944 in Nainital by a Swiss Chef, the cafe has been designed as a rustic mountain lodge. The fireplace and the wooden interiors overlook the lush greens of Greater Kailash and make this cosy li’l cafe perfect for winters.

Who doesn’t want to step into the Mughal era of romance? That is why I decided to visit the award-winning Bukhara for a late-night dinner. Now, what makes it Instagram worthy? Well, the restaurant’s stone-clad walls and rough-hewn furniture evoke the rustic origins of the cuisine. Do not forget to click a picture in the main lobby area of which I’ve attached an image above.

The interiors are peppered with lanterns, vases, books and cute little nick-knacks. They also have an open kitchen so if you’re into food photography, this is another plus!
