The Asian Games 2018 have been the highlight of the sports world for the past 10 days and the entire country has been glued to their television screen, cheering on our players. India has performed marvellously in Indonesia having won 7 gold, 10 silver, and 20 bronze medals till now. But we are even more stoked that our women have been killing it in the games and have caught the attention of everyone in the athletic community. After all, maari chhoriya chhoro se kam hai ke!?
So, to celebrate these talented ladies who have made us beam with pride, here are a list of all the women who have won medals for India in the 18th Asian Games.
1. Vinesh Phogat
Vinesh has won the Gold medal for the Women’s Freestyle 50 kg wrestling.
2. Rahi Sarnobat
Rahi made us jump with joy by winning the Gold in the women’s 25-metre pistol.
3. Women’s National Kabaddi Team
The Indian women’s team comprising Kavita, Priyanka, Manpreet, Payel, Ritu, Sonali, Sayali, Randeep, Shalini, Sakshi, Usha and Shingte won the Silver in kabaddi and we’re applauding them!
4. Hima Das
Just yesterday, Hima won the Silver in the women’s 4400-metre sprint.
5. Dutee Chand
Athletics is killing it! Dutee also won the Silver in Women’s 1100-metre sprint and celebration time!
6. Apurvi Chandela
She won the Bronze for India in the Asian Games in the mixed team 10-metre air rifle along with Ravi Kumar.
7. Divya Kakran
Divya secured a Bronze medal in the Women’s freestyle 68 kg wrestling category.
8. Roshibina Naorem
This boss lady also made us so happy to be Indians by winning the Bronze in women’s Sanda 60 kg Wushu.
9. Ankita Raina
Our lawn tennis star made us beam brightly when she won the Bronze in the women’s single lawn tennis category.
10. Heena Sidhu
Heena, too, won the Bronze medal for her superb performance in the women’s 10-metre air pistol.
11. Dipika Pallikal
Dipika won the Bronze medal in women’s singles squash and showcased some brilliant talent.
12. Joshna Chinappa
Joshna also won the Bronze in women’s singles squash and proved that Indians can ace just about anything.
13. Indian Mixed Bridge Team

Hema, Himani, and Kiran along with Bachiraju, Rajeev and Gopinath also took home the Bronze as a mixed team playing bridge in the Asian Games.
14. Saina Nehwal
India’s badminton star Saina Nehwal procured the Bronze for the country in the women’s singles category.
