Chef Vikas Khanna’s Heart Warming Story Proves That Humanity Has No Religion!

Chef Vikas Khanna is an Indian chef, restaurateur, and cookbook writer who gained immense popularity in India because he was a judge on the shows MasterChef India and Masterchef Junior.

He has worked for the Taj, Oberoi, Welcome group, and Leela Group of Hotels; and started a restaurant called Junoon in 2010 in New York.

Vikas shared a heartwarming story from 1992 three years ago on Facebook. A Muslim family saved his life during the 1992 riots in Mumbai.

In an interview with a TV channel, he threw some light on the incident. He spoke about how there were curfews during the 1992 riots and no staff were able to leave or enter the hotel. He ran to Ghatkopar and on his way to there, a Muslim family warned him against rioters and took him in. On being questioned by people around them, the family regarded Vikas as their son.

Since then, to honour them, he has been fasting for a day during the holy month of Ramadan.

And now, he has finally found the family after 26 years. He took to Twitter to share his happiness and how this Eid will be the most significant of his life.
