Alia Bhatt & Ranveer Singh Are Set To Reunite For This Special Project & We Can’t Wait!

To say that Bollywood is an unpredictable industry would be an understatement. More often than not, films are announced and abandoned or shelved for years altogether. Take Brahmastra for instance, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s film was originally meant to hit the silver screen in 2016. Well, it’s almost 2022 and the movie still does not have a release date. The same’s the case with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra. 

SBL’s ambitious project Baiju Bawra has been in the spotlight for more than a year now due to its star cast. Back in 2020, the grapevine was abuzz that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were all set to be a part of the film. Sadly, that didn’t happen and then multiple reports suggested that Ranveer Singh and his wife were all set to star in the movie and we couldn’t be any happier. After all, the two always manage to light up our screens! 

However, our happiness seemed to be short-lived as we learned that Deepika walked out of the project. If the rumours were true, the reason for her exit was because the actress had demanded equal pay as her co-star and was refused. 

Now there’s a fresh rumour doing the rounds, and fam, we’d really like this one to be true! A little birdie tells us that Alia Bhatt and Ranveer are all set to be a part of the period drama. 

A source was quoted saying, “Alia went berserk after reading the script of the movie. The actress also called it the best script she has read till now.” The same source added that SBL feels that Alia “suited the part”. That’s not all, apparently, a huge set is being prepared in Film City ATM and both the celebs are going to start shooting next month. Fingers crossed! 

Talking about the movie, Baiju Bawra is a story of a young musician who challenged the famous Tansen in Mughal Emperor Akhbar’s court. The plot sounds interesting and we hope we get to watch Alia and Ranveer weave their magic on-screen once again. 

Here’s hoping  SBL, Alia, and Ranveer make it official soon ’cause we cannot wait!
