Only a few on-screen jodis are as electrifying as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. And all Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies–Goliyon Ki Ras-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat–are a testimony to that. The two create magic every time they come together. This is why we were desperately waiting for SLB’s next movie Baiju Bawra.
Ranveer and Deepika were all set to come together once again in Baiju Bawra, which is a remake of the 1952 period drama. However, things seem to have gone south and it looks like Deepika is no longer a part of SLB’s ambitious project. And if rumours are to be believed, the reason for her exist is because the actress had demanded equal pay as her co-star.
Earlier this year, there were multiple reports that suggested that all is not well between Deepika and SLB. Apparently, the actress thought that she would be the first choice for SLB’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, but when Alia Bhatt was offered the part, she was completely taken aback. Next, when Deepika approached the director to be a part of her movie, Draupadi, he turned her down as he was caught up with another project. The rift between the two further widened when Deepika denied being a part of the special song in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Well, we really hope that everything is well between Deepika and SLB and that they come together for a movie real soon.
