Call Masterji & Ask Him To Stitch Aditi Rao Hydari’s New Desi Look For You Stat!

*Click* Every day there are new outfits being ordered online. *Ping* Orders being shipped. *Ting tong* Orders being delivered. *Selfie* Happiness being spread. *Cha-ching* Money being spent… Money being spent on outfits that can be made by your masterji in half the price! Then why not?

Instead of wasting so much money on buying something new every time you’ve ‘nothing to wear’, take a cue from Aditi Rao Hydari‘s new desi look and get yourself an outfit made at minimum cost.

All it’ll take is some dress material and you have a brand new outfit for yourself just. like. that. There are three ways in which you can ask your tailor to work his magic fingers.

1. Revamp An Existing Dress

Have a black dress lying around your closet that you don’t wear anymore? Of course, you do! We all do. Get some fabric from the market and while you’re at it, make sure it matches the base colour of the dress and, most importantly, has a different print or work on it – like Aditi’s ethnic dress has placement print on the first layer, polka dots on the second and checks on the third.

Ask your tailor to take equal portions of the fabric, get them stitched to your dress’s hemline and you’ve your very own trendy ruffled dress to flaunt as if new.

2. An Old Bedsheet Or Mom’s Old Saree

Psst… This way will save you even more money than the first technique. To the technique discussed above, instead of going to the market and buying new material, take a large piece of fabric from home and use that instead. Give your old bedsheet or your mother’s saree a fashionable upgrade. However, this can be a little challenging to do unless the other materials have a similar base colour. Found something? Well, run to your tailor! Run like the wind!

3. Chandni Chowk Ka Chakkar

Like we fashion girls need a reason to go to Chandni Chowk! Visit one of the many wholesale shops in the Chandni Chowk market and buy some dress material. It’s so easy to bargain the prices there. Make sure to check with your tailor how much fabric he will need to make the outfit from scratch. Take your mom along, have some hot paranthe at the Paranthe wali gali, chilled and creamy kulfi faluda, and make a day out of it.

Yes, it’s that easy. Didn’t we tell you?

As far as the little details are concerned, here’s how you can complete the outfit to get the exact look.

POPxo Recommends: Black Faux Leather Belt (Rs 499) by Stalk Buy Love with a double buckle closure, just like Aditi.

POPxo Recommends: Black Feather Embellished Juttis (Rs 3,290) from the Payal Singhal x Fizzy Goblet collab.

Now that you saved so much money, what are going to do with it, eh?
