Aaradhya Bachchan’s Performance On ‘Mere Gully Mein’ Is A Befitting Reply To Trolls

The Cannes Film Festival 2019 would have been incomplete for us without Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s stunning appearance on the red carpet. Aishwarya was seen glad in an off-shoulder figure-hugging golden gown.

With side part and bare minimum makeup, Aishwarya looked different from all angles.

Like most of her appearances, she was spotted hand-in-hand with daughter Aaradhya, who was wearing a yellow frock.

The mother-daughter duo has been spotted holding hands many times. In fact, the actress has often been trolled for being overprotective towards her daughter.

Earlier this month, a picture of the actress holding her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya’s hand went viral on social media for a strange reason. The Bachchans went out for a family dinner, and some social media users criticised Aishwarya for holding Aaradhya’s hand. Netizens mercilessly trolled the actress for snatching away her little one’s confidence. Many speculated that something was wrong with the young one and that’s why Aishwarya kept her close at hand.

However, Ash gave a befitting reply to all her haters, “I react (when cameras come too close). If my arm is around Aaradhya, people will say the mother is very clingy. I hear all this when it is already a couple of days later so it is kind of over. I don’t let it define me. I don’t change how I take care of Aaradhya or how I define myself based on all of this. Judge me for it but I will love her, embrace her. She is my daughter.”

A day before leaving for Cannes, Aaradhya gave her first public performance at the Summer Funk 2019, organised by Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts.

Dressed in a pink frock and denim jacket, Aaradhya performed to popular track Mere Gully Mein from Gully Boy.

The videos were a rage on the internet and netizens were all praises for the little one. They loved her energy and electrifying performance. This stopped all comments from haters that said that Aaradhya can’t walk properly.

Here’s what the comments on the videos read.
