Bollywood-Approved Draped Saree Styles That Deserve A Second Look!

Bollywood celebs are constantly coming up with new ways to do Indian wear. Top Bollywood celebrity stylists are one-upping each other with their own unique twists on traditional styles you can’t help but do a double take on. While an endless array of lehengas and kurtas have been styled in offbeat ways, it’s the saree that is the main muse! The length of the saree can be twisted and turned into anything, thus creating a number of different drape styles. We are always on the lookout to do something crazy with our looks and have spotted some celebs doing the same. Check out our favourite picks!

1. Parineeti Chopra

The Ambani wedding saw many stars making an appearance in their fashionable best. Parineeti’s Shantanu & Nikhil neo-drape saree was in a league of its own! Draping the pallu from behind and securing it with a leather detailed belt sure made for a chic traditional and contemporary cross!

2. Esha Gupta

Have you ever seen an endless pallu before? Esha Gupta’s lehenga style saree from Monisha Jaising has a body-hugging drape that sits comfortably on the actresses’ frame and looks incredibly elegant and classy. Take a look at the gorgeous back:

3. Gauri Khan

Tarun Tahiliani is a master craftsman when it comes to sarees, so of course, we had to one of his looks for this story! The ombre concept saree gives the bottom half of the saree a longer end of the stick by keeping the pallu collected and minimal. Keeping your drapes close to your body is sure to give you a sexy silhouetted look as a whole!

4. Anisha Ambrose

Not only is AM:PM label is known for its luxurious fabrics, they also come with the most modern versions of ethnic wear we have seen. This casual drape on Anisha Ambrose is refreshing and smart,  look the millennial woman is always craving to pull off! We especially love the dropped pin shoulder creating feminine waves and lines on the saree!

5. Kriti Kharbanda

Combining detailed silks with sheer panels, this half and half saree is for the fashionable laid back. Held together with a waist belt and skirted bottom, this feminine drape is giving us major Meena Kumari vibes! Also, bandeau blouses for the win!
