how-to-make-kajal-at-home.jpg

Kajal is a makeup staple in every desi girl’s makeup arsenal and you've got to admit that there’s no other product that can define your eyes the way a kohl liner does. In fact, don't wear it one day and everyone thinks you're unwell!

Whether it’s your regular kajal, or those popular Moroccon kohl liners in powder form, the power of kajal enhancing your overall makeup cannot be denied. It is believed that this beauty must-have originated in the Arabic origin and another study proves that women in ancient Egypt used it way back in 311 B.C. So yes, kajal has been a favourite among women for many centuries and was made using basic kitchen items back then!

So, if you are keen to use some basic ingredients and wish to make kajal at home, then keep on reading.

You’ll need:

  • Diya

Step 2: Next, place both your bowls on either side of it.

Step 3: Apply a few drops of castor oil on the steel plate and then place it on the top of both the bowls.

Step 4: You’ll notice that the plate will start to heat within a matter of minutes. Allow that for over 30 mins.

Step 4: The castor oil will burn and in place of it, soot would be collected. Scarpe it off.

Step 5: Allow the soot to cool down before applying. You can also add a drop or two of castor oil to make it liquidy and then store it in a container.
