2021 is proving to be a better year than the previous one for a lot of people already. Well, we do not know about anyone else, but it is indeed turning out to be a lucky year for Ali Abbas Zafar. We all know that the Bharat director is all set to release his much-awaited web series called Tandav on an OTT platform but we aren’t here for that! We are here to talk about his hush-hush wedding that’s creating quite a buzz on social media.
Ali recently tied the knot with Alicia Zafar and announced the news on his social media handle yesterday. The Sultan director shared a glimpse of his D-day on his ‘Gram where he was seen holding his wifey’s gorgeous hathphool studded hand. He wrote in the captions, “Bismillah”, referring to a beautiful beginning of a new phase of their life.
Soon enough, many celebrities and Ali’s friends including Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, and Isabelle Kaif poured in their wishes and congratulatory messages. Take a look:
Ali also shared a snap with his bride where the newlyweds could be seen embracing each other. While he did not reveal any details about the wedding, we are completely smitten by how lovely they looked! He wrote a beautiful caption, expressing that all his worries vanish as soon as he looks at his lover’s face. He wrote, “1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra’s, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face, I feel the same Alicia Zafar ❤️❤️❤️ . Mine for life.”
Wow! Ali just made us skip a heartbeat with his super mushy lines. In another snap, the newly-weds could be seen posing with their families and the director wrote in the caption, “Welcome to the Family ❤️”
While Ali donned a classic ivory sherwani, we are crushing hard over Alicia’s all-golden look. The bride chose a classy beige lehenga and gave it a contemporary spin by draping the dupatta in a halter-esque style. She tied the dupatta on the waist by using a thin bejewelled belt and honestly, we’re taking notes.
Also, Alicia might just have started a bridal trend for 2021 by sporting a statement mock-neck mesh top with heavy embroidery on the front. And finally, the second pistachio-hued dupatta worn on the head gave the entire ensemble the perfect traditional touch that it needed.
