Ishaan Khatter stunned audiences with his debut in Beyond The Clouds. Then, he bagged a role in Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The film was an adaptation of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat and Ishaan’s acting prowess was highly appreciated by fans and critics. The actor, however, didn’t sign any more projects after Dhadak.
Just when we were wondering where did Khatter disappear, we got to know Ali Abbas Zafar had roped him for his next film. A piece of recent news reveals that Ishaan will be romancing Ananya Panday in the said project, helmed by Varun Sharma.
Yes, you heard that right! Make way for this fresh pair! Ali and Ishaan have been discussing the project, which is believed to be a romantic story. It is expected to go on floors by this year-end.
Ali Abbas Zafar recently directed Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat. The film received mixed reviews but catapulted into the 200-crore club with ease.
Speaking of debutante Ananya, the actress garnered a lot of love and appreciation for her stint as Shreya Randhawa in her debut film Student Of The Year 2 starring Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria along with her.
Only a movie old, Ananya also bagged a role in Mudassar Aziz’ Pati Patni Aur Woh, which also stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. Ananya will be essaying the role of an older secretary whose married boss is interested in her. As a part of the role prep, the starlet is currently on a strict weight-gaining routine under the observation of celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala.
In a conversation with a leading daily, she spoke about how she’s preparing for her role in the film. Ananya said that it’s really tough for her to gain weight. The actress revealed she is eating every two hours and maximising her protein content. However, the actress is careful that she wants to gain the right kind of weight. As per reports, Ananya is required to put on at least five kilos for her role.
Pati Patni Aur Woh is slated to hit theatres on December 6, 2019.
