There are no rules when it comes to the styling for TV shows, or so it seems. From the most OTT version of any attire (or accessory) you could think of to downright weird fashion choices, TV shows have left no stone unturned in doing fashion the wrong bizarre way. Speaking of which, we decided to check out and list the ones which sent our eyebrows all the way up. Think we are kidding? Read on, but fair warning—dangerous fashion choices ahead!
Here's taking a look at some bizarre fashion spotted in reality TV shows, dramas, supernatural and everything in between.
The very fictional show has had a long run on TV, the seasons changing and the actors along with it. What has not changed though, is the otherworldly fashion choices. Weird drapes, elaborately done hairstyles and a plethora of jewellery are a mainstay on Naagin, and we doubt it's going to change (though a change would probably be for the best).
Okay, that's some chunky jewellery involved so one might lead with 'what's the harm?'. But delve further into the stills from the show and you will find that one of the leads in Ishqbaaz likes to keep it super maximal. If there ever was a personification of the 'over the top' phrase, we think it would be this.
Bigg Boss has been running for more than a decade now and so, the bizarre fashion choices made by the contestants across seasons match up to it. Prints, lace and variations in hair— you name it, they will have it.
A daily soap that was shut down due to controversy around it, Pehredaar Piya Ki ran long enough to leave us aghast with the outfits. Why would someone be decked up all the time, and in heavy ornaments nonetheless, no matter what the hour or the occasion is simply beyond us.
Remember that time when Indian TV had its fair streak of shows inspired by all things 'supernatural'? Nazar was one of the many and TBT, we are still in shock with some of its bizarre moments. I mean, how do you justify snakes crawling out of someone's scalp and burning braids? Never mind.
If you think Sasural Simar Ka had an elongated plotline that kept it going for years, we urge you to look at what the styling was all about. Perfectly placed streaks of white to suggest age, headgear that should have been left in the closet and so much more.
A supposed sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been on air for years and yet, the bizarre fashion on the TV shows doesn't stop. Case in point: socks with mojris, flimsy sheer panels with sequins and more than what you could think of.
BRB, need a quick break.
