Many people look at jewellery as an investment more than just an ornament that enhances the beauty that you already are. Solid gold, sterling silver, platinum and gemstone jewels always take the front seat in this case. Having said that, fine jewellery brands are the best and safest destination for you. And lucky for us, Jaipur is packed with fine jewellery brands. A few stores you certainly would want to pay a visit are Amrapali Jewels, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewels, Motisons Jewellers, PC Jewellers and Kalyan Jewellers.

All the fine jewellery brands often provide jewellery for historical dramas like Jodha Akhbar, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Manikarnika and so on. So that’s a bonus!

Heard about haathi daant ka chura? Didn’t want to end the article without talking about it. It’s considered auspicious for weddings and denotes Lord Ganesha. Ivory ornaments with intricate carvings have always been popular. It used to be a gift to a Rajasthani bride from her in-laws after the marriage. The tradition has been there for ages. However, the government decided to limit the production of ivory ornaments and for good reason. I too do not encourage the purchase of ivory products. But if you visit the old city side of Jaipur, you might see women wearing the ivory chura which has been passed on to them from their families.
