Ever since Virat and Anushka got married, we couldn’t stop tripping over each and every aspect of their beautiful wedding. Be it their gorgeous destination wedding ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, their super glam reception parties in Delhi and Mumbai, the decor or the pictures… We simply loved it all! But if there’s one thing we went totally crazy about, it definitely was Anushka’s outfits. The diva bride sure slayed in each of them, but it was her dull gold and grey Sabyasachi lehenga (she wore at her Mumbai reception) that we fell in love with.
She paired the lehenga with a diamond choker and oh boy, did she look stunning or what! Seeing her dazzling avatar, we went back to all the gorgeous weddings we had witnessed in 2017 and picked 7 real brides, who had nailed blingy outfits to the T. Here they are…
1. Baby pink hues
Nothing looks prettier than a twirling bride in a subtle pink lehenga that shimmers and shines when light falls on it. This bride nailed the shimmery bridal lehenga look, complete with a belt and gorgeous kaleeras. Oh-so-pretty!
2. Going for grey, anyone?
Whoever said that grey isn’t a bridal colour was so wrong. Not only did Anushka prove them wrong, but quite a lot of brides choose to go with grey lehengas for their wedding reception. This stunner here chose a grey outfit almost similar to that of Anushka’s and we must say, she looks just as gorge!
3. Pretty in peach
Like we said, happy bride + twirling = best wedding picture ever! This bride opted for a shimmery peach lehenga and we cannot stop gushing over how pretty she looks. The red chooda stands out even more against her subtle lehenga, doesn’t it?
4. All that glitters IS gold
There is only one colour apart from red that can never go out of vogue when it comes to bridal wear – golden. This gorgeous colour looks great on most Indian skin tones. This stunning bride chose a dull gold blingy lehenga for one of her wedding functions, and we’re totally digging it.
5. ‘Coz Sabyasachi does know best!
A subtle baby pink lehenga complete with contrasting dark red jewellery makes for a perfect bridal look. Sabyasachi knows his bridal fashion game well and his brides are proof of that!
6. Grey is the new red
Like we just said, every bride wants to be adorned in a Sabyasachi on her D-day and we clearly know why! He surely made Anushka Sharma look nothing short of a princess at her wedding and the pictures are proof. This gorgeous bride opted for a stunning grey lehenga, quite similar to that of Anushka’s, adorned with sequins, a very blingy dupatta and an embellished belt. So pretty!
7. Of all things glorious and gold
We cannot stress enough about how royal and classy a golden lehenga looks. A colour that flatters most Indian skin tones, we’re hoping to see a lot more 2018 brides dress up in gold. And btw, that filmy pose has our thumbs up! *wink*
