Shahid Kapoor created quite a buzz by marrying Mira Rajput in 2015. It was an arranged match and Mira was only 20 when she married the 34-year-old actor. But none of this came in their way and the couple has been happily married for eight years. Just recently, Shahid talked about his beautiful bond with Mira but ended up saying something that isn’t sitting well with the internet.
During a recent interview, Shahid shared his views on marriage. He said, “The entire marriage thing is just about one thing is that the guy was a mess and the woman came to fix him. So the rest of his life is going to be a journey of being fixed and becoming you know, just a decent person. That’s pretty much what life is about.”

Shahid’s answer irked the netizens who are slamming the actor now. One person writes, “What was your mother job. Didn’t she raised you well ? Come on guys grow up and girl are not born to nurse grown-up man” Another person has commented, “Bro gave the most Boomer answer and thought he did something there. Now I understand why Bollywood love stories have this same cringey theme ‘guy was a mess woman came in to fix him’ bruh.”

In all honesty, Shahid could’ve done a better job at answering the question. In no way is it a woman’s job to fix a man. The men need to fix themselves and then look for a life partner. We hope Shahid realises how problematic his statement is. Also, we sincerely hope that Mira is not doing all the work in this marriage.
