Aditi Rao Hydari’s Skincare Routine Is As Basic As Mine

Aditi Rao Hydari’s Skincare Routine Is As Basic As Mine

Another diva bites the dust! The latest addition to the ever-growing list of married Bolly celebrities is Aditi Rao Haydari who allegedly tied the knot with long-time beau Siddharth Suryanarayan in a private ceremony in Telangana. While the reports have neither been confirmed nor denied, the speculation is enough to throw light on her skin. Married or not, how does she keep her skin looking so fresh?

We did a little research and tapped into a few sources to really understand the secret behind her glowing, glass-like skin. You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to replicate it! You can thank us later.

Always Use SPF

In an old interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Sufiyum Sujatayum star revealed that if there’s one thing she does not skip it’s SPF. “Using SPF even on cloudy days is something I wish I had known earlier,” she says. And we have to agree! Sunscreen is a step you will thank yourself for not skipping when you are dark spot-free in your 50s.

Lactic Acid Is Her Best Friend

In another video with Kush Magazine, she reveals that her AM and PM routine both consists of applying full-fat raw milk before doing anything. Lactic acid is a gentle AHA that works to brighten and clean out your skin since it is much milder than other acids like salicylic. It works great for sensitive skin and does not cause redness or any irritation.

All Oils Are Essential

A DIY facemask she swears by is a mix of things from your pantry and vanity – raw milk, a few drops of your favourite essential oils (she likes to switch it up) mixed in with either oatmeal or almonds. Apply it to your face for 20 minutes since it does not dry out fast due to the oil in it and wash it off with cold water.

Focus On Minimalist Makeup

When asked what her top three makeup products were, she claimed she usually tried to make do with as minimal makeup as possible. The only products she can’t live without are her brow kit and a tint that is multifunctional – something she uses for both her lips and cheeks. Below are our favourites since she did not reveal her favs.

Hair Care Is Super Important

Most celebrities swear by organic forms of haircare and Aditi is no different. Her go-to is good quality extra virgin coconut oil but she also likes to experiment with other types of oil like castor oil, mustard oil, and almond oil; sometimes she even likes to mix them all together and apply.

Skin Cycling Needs To Be A Part Of Your Routine

Lastly, one of the biggest shifts in her routine to ensure glowing skin was occasionally changing up her products according to how her skin felt at that moment. Skin cycling refers to a routine that uses a series of different products in a set pattern: the first day is for exfoliation, the second day is for retinol (or cell regrowth), and the third and fourth days are for recovery (think barrier repair and hydration).

The order of these products can be mixed and matched to make sure your skin is getting what it needs according to season and lifestyle, instead of sticking to one product forever. For more information on this, you can read our breakdown of it here.
