The makers announced the second season of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya soon after the Rasode Mein Kaun Tha rap went viral. Ever since then, two promos of the show have been released, and Gopi bahu aka Devoleena Bhattacharjee has already introduced a new character–Gehna. Devoleena recently shared some pictures with her onscreen saasu maa Kokilaben Modi aka Rupal Patel, which have left their fans excited.

Captioning the photos, Devoleena wrote, “Swagat nahi karoge hamara (Won’t you welcome us?).” Take a look!
In the picture, Devoleena can be seen in the same pink saree that she wore for the first promo. Rupal, in her true Kokila avatar, wore a bright orange and pink saree with OTT jewellery and of course, a big bindi.

Coming back to SNS 2, Devoleena shared the first teaser of the show and wrote, “We are back by popular demand.” While she spoke about Gehna and left the viewers intrigued, she introduced the character in a recently-released second promo. Sneha Jain, who is making her debut in the Hindi TV industry, will play Gehna’s character in the show. The promo also introduced the character, Anant, which is played by Harsh Nagar. Unlike the last season that stopped airing three years ago, this version of the show will reportedly revolve around Gehna and Anant. Talking to a media portal, the producer of the show, Rashmi Sharma said, “It was difficult to audition for the leads, as it all happened online because of the pandemic. But thankfully, our cast is finalised now. While Harsh, who will play the role of Anant, has done a few serials in the past, Sneha, who will be seen as Gehna, is new to Hindi television. She has done Gujrati serials and theatre.”

Besides Devoleena and Rupal, Ahem Modi aka Mohammad Nazim will also be a part of this season. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 will start airing on October 19. The daily soap will be replacing Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke at the 9 PM slot.
