Daily soap, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, recently became a topic of discussion after a hilarious mashup went viral. It all happened when a musician turned a scene from the show into a rap video. Owing to the hype, the makers of the show announced Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.0, three years after the show stopped airing. Ever since then, there have been speculations around the cast. While Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi bahu featured in the first promo of the second season, it seems like Kokilaben is back too.

Amidst reports of the original Kokilaben Rupal Patel being replaced with another actress, she has now confirmed that ‘Koki’ will be returning to the show. “There cannot be SNS 2 without its Koki”, the actress told a media portal.
Earlier in an interview, Rupal denied being a part of the second season, saying that she is happy playing the role of Meenakshi Rajvansh on Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. But now, the actress has decided otherwise. She said, “I couldn’t sleep the night I was approached for SNS 2 as I prefer doing one show at a time. But the channel (Star Plus), Rajan sir (the director) and Rashmi ma’am (the producer) have assured me that we will figure out a way to ensure that everything proceeds smoothly”.
After the super successful first season, the actress is super confident that the second one is going to be a hit as well. Channeling her inner Kokila Modi, Rupal told a media portal, “Krishna Bhagwan ki saugandh, if season 2 is not superhit, mera naam bhi Kokila Modi nahin (I bet Season 2 is going to be superhit too)”.

The OG Ahem Modi aka Mohammad Nazim has also agreed to be back on the show as well. Recently, a source told a publication that the makers were trying hard to get the best of the lot on board for the second season. “Ahem is an important character, and season two will be incomplete without him. The creative team is in the process of fleshing out the graph of the character. Expect Ahem to be back, but with a twist’, the source claimed.
Recently, Nazim took to his Instagram handle to announce that he is going to meet all his fans super soon in the ‘rasoda’. He posted a pictures and captioned it, “Kya lagta hai rasode main Kaun hoga.Milte hai Jaldi rasode main (Who do you think will be in the rasoda? See you soon in the rasoda)”.
TBH, we’re happy that the old and popular cast of the show is coming back together and it might have left their fans excited. But we do hope that the makers make some changes to the saas-bahu saga and come up with a more modern approach to this so-called problematic relationship.
