The actress won over all of us when she entered the BB house to say ‘yes’ to Rahul. And soon after, the singer’s mother spoke about the possibility of the couple getting married in June.
Ever since we saw the couple dressed as a bride and groom for a music video, we just can’t wait for their big day. Now before you read on, we suggest you grab that box of tissues because we’ve got some disappointing information. Turns out, Disha and Rahul will not be getting married in June!
The lovebirds were recently spotted hanging out in Mumbai. When asked about their shaadi plans, the duo informed the paps about their decision to postpone the wedding owning to the current COVID-19 situation. A few days ago, a 15-day curfew was announced in Maharashtra due to the alarming rise in coronavirus cases.
Sharing their plight, Rahul said that they are unable to book a venue for the wedding due to the COVID-19 restrictions, which is why they haven’t been able to take a final decision. The singer also said that they will book a place for their big day when the situation gets better while Disha added that the wedding will hopefully happen soon.
On April 13, Rahul and Disha celebrated their first Gudi Padwa together. While Disha wore a traditional green Paithani saree, Rahul wore a cream coloured hand-woven kurta. The couple shared an adorable video from their Gudi Padwa celebration on social media.
On the work front, Rahul and Disha will be seen in a music video of the song Madhanya which is a ‘wedding love song’. The song is set to be released on 18 April.
We’re disappointed that we won’t get to see our favourite couple tie the knot in June but hey, at least we got to see them a bride and groom in a music video!
