If you’re a meme lover, you would know that 'Raosde Me Kaun Tha'! And the credit goes to Yashraj Mukhate, the engineer-turned-music producer, who turned the sequence from the show into a peppy rap song. The mashup that is gaining momentum features Rupal Patel (Kokilaben), Rucha Hasabnis (Rashi) and Gia Manek (Gopi Bahu). The song took the internet by storm and inspired the creative minds on Twitter to come up with hilarious memes. So much so that hashtags like #Rashi, #RasodeMeinKaunTha started trending on the microblogging site.
Besides social media users, all the three actresses in the clip also reacted to the video.
In complete reversal from her strict AF image, rupal turned out to be quite a sport as she called Yashraj to thank him after she came to know about the video. Talking to a media portal, Rupal said that she was pleasantly surprised and also shocked when she saw the clip for the first time.
“I was perplexed about how Yashraj got this clip since I never sang on the show. Later, I realised that it’s a rap and he has used my dialogues for it . I liked it so much that I asked a few friends for his number. I spoke to him and expressed my gratitude," the actress said.
TV show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya went off air in 2017, but it has managed to stay in the limelight even after so many years. Before the Kokilaben mashup, it was Gopi bahu washing laptop with a detergent that caught everyone’s attention.
For Gia, it was a complete shocker as she never imagined that anyone can make such good content with such a dramatic scene. “I was a little surprised and in no time it went viral and I was like 'ye kya ho gaya'. Before this, the laptop scene had gone viral and now this scene so I am grateful that I got an opportunity to be a part of an epic show and do an epic character," the actress added.
Talking about her first reaction, Rucha said that she didn’t like the clip initially and found it really silly. It was after his brother who told her that it was trending all over the internet. Speaking about the response the clip has got, Rucha said, “It's been crazy, it was very funny, weird and silly. It was trending and people have loved the video. Fans have not been messaging me but people are just sharing the funny memes that are trending on Twitter, with me. We are all having a laugh on these memes”.
That’s the spirit, Rashiben!
